The Raid
I've been waiting months to see this and it didn't disappoint. Probably the best cinema experience i've ever had (maybe seeing Grindhouse in Toronto). The crowd were well up for it and broke into applause for several of the excellent action scenes. First film to ever win both the audience award and the critic award at the festival.
Director Gareth Evans and star Iko Uwais were there for a Q&A after the film. Iko didn't say much as doesn't have much English but Evans seemed like good craic and very modest. I look forward to seeing what they do next and looking forward to seeing The Raid again.
